Chef Antonio Bitetto, originally from Bari in Southern Italy, is the Head Chef at Splendido. Together with his team of Ladies and Gentlemen, he helps create an al fresco dining experience that brings the spirit of Italy to Dubai.
His passion for food began early, inspired by his mother, Assunta, a strong woman from Bari, a coastal city on the Adriatic Sea. In his family home, cooking was always at the center of every gathering, with generous feasts prepared whenever visitors arrived.
With that love of cooking shaping his path, Antonio went on to attend culinary school in Colorno, a town in northern Italy known for its food culture. From 2015, he worked across several leading Italian restaurants in Dubai, building the experience he brings to Splendido today. Known for his warm approach and thoughtful recommendations, Chef Antonio enjoys tailoring dishes to guest preferences and introducing seasonal touches to keep the menu feeling fresh.
